Paleoart of the chalicothere "gorilla-horse" Ancylotherium. Not one of the knuckle-walking genera, it would have nevertheless used its large clawed hands to pull down branches to eat, much like a therizinosaur or a giant sloth. This was evidently a successful body plan and an interesting way for certain bipedally-inclined creatures to devour leaves much like a giraffe or an elephant could.
