Field of Flowers

Drawn for the Polar Lights zine, which donated to the Antarctic Southern Ocean Coalition. This work depicts Edwardsiella, a species of anemone that dwells under ice sheets. It's unknown quite how they anchor themselves or quite what they eat. Drifting upwards towards them are the eggs of Antarctic silverfish. I wanted to frame the work like a field of flowers, and portray them upside-down for an interesting perspective.
