Paleoart of some hatchling Tyrannosaurus massacring a nest of hatching Edmontosaurus. The K-Pg asteroid would have made impact during the springtime, which is also around when most of the dinosaurs would be being born. It would have burnt most of the world's forests, but anything shielded under layers of soil would have been protected from the worst of the blast. The hatchlings cry out for a parent who will never come, and they are eventually forced to turn on each other.
