Oh, Worm!

Paleoart of a primitive house centipede facing off against a Kampecaris, amongst the first millipedes to walk on land. The fungi are Prototaxites, interpreted as a giant branching semi-lichen (likely outdated; Prototaxites is likely a strange new branch of life), and the foreground plants are good old Cooksonia. Kampecaris is a strange stubby little millipede, probably one of the first arthropods to set foot on land (mites may have beaten it to the punch, as well as scorpions). It's being accosted by a house centipede, based on recent interpretations of the early Devonian arthropod Rhyniognatha. Right now, they're kings of their domain, and I wanted to portray them as such.
